This Privacy Policy describes the privacy practices of the operator of AI Girlfriend (“we,” “us,” or “our”) for the AI Girlfriend mobile application and related services. It explains the information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices and rights available to you.

By using the app, you acknowledge that your information may be processed as described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: identifiers such as your email address, authentication data, profile details, and any information you choose to provide when creating or managing your account.
• Conversation data: text prompts, chat history, AI-generated responses, voice note requests, image requests, and related conversation context stored on your device to maintain continuity across sessions.
• User content: messages, preferences, feedback, support requests, and any other content you submit through the app.
• Subscription information: subscription status, purchase receipts, entitlement data, renewal status, and related billing metadata processed through Apple, Superwall, and our payment infrastructure providers.
• Device and usage information: device model, operating system version, app version, language settings, IP address, general usage activity, crash or performance information, and log data.
• Push notification data: device tokens or similar identifiers used to deliver notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple push notification services.
• Support communications: information you provide when you contact us for help, feedback, or account requests.

3. How We Use Information

• To provide and operate AI Girlfriend, including chat responses, generated photos, generated voice notes, and personalized companion experiences.
• To create, manage, and authenticate your account.
• To store conversation history on your device and maintain continuity across sessions.
• To process subscriptions, verify entitlements, and manage access to premium features.
• To deliver push notifications and service-related alerts.
• To respond to support requests, enforce our Terms of Use, investigate misuse, and protect the security and integrity of the service.
• To analyze usage, improve functionality, debug issues, and maintain performance.

4. AI Processing Disclosure

AI Girlfriend uses automated systems, including OpenAI APIs and related service providers, to generate text responses, voice notes, and photos. When you submit a prompt or message, that content and associated metadata may be sent to the AI provider so the service can generate a response.

AI-generated outputs are created automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, unexpected, or otherwise unsuitable for a particular purpose. You should not submit sensitive personal information unless you are comfortable with it being processed as part of your conversation with the app.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We use third-party providers to help operate the service, including:

• Firebase: authentication, app infrastructure, Cloud Functions, and push notifications.
• OpenAI: generation of AI chat responses, photos, and voice-related outputs.
• Superwall: subscription paywall presentation, offer management, and entitlement-related processing.
• Apple: in-app purchase processing, billing, and subscription management.

These providers may collect, store, or process information according to their own terms and privacy policies and may act as independent controllers or processors depending on the context.

6. Data Retention

We do not retain conversation history on our servers. Conversation history is stored on your device to provide continuity across sessions, and it remains on your device until you delete it, clear local app data, or remove the app.

We retain account information, subscription records, and support communications for as long as necessary to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Push notification tokens and similar identifiers are retained until you disable notifications, delete your account, or the token otherwise becomes invalid. We may retain certain logs or records for security, fraud prevention, debugging, legal compliance, or business continuity.

7. Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated data through the app or by contacting us using the details below. After deletion, we will delete or de-identify data associated with your account unless we must retain certain information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or operational reasons.

Deleting your account does not automatically erase conversation history stored locally on your device. You can remove that history by deleting it within the app, clearing the app's local data, or uninstalling the app.

Deletion may not immediately remove information already processed by third-party systems to the extent those systems are required to retain copies under their own policies or legal obligations.

8. Your Rights and Choices

• You may access, correct, or update certain account information through the app, where available.
• You may disable push notifications through your device settings.
• You may request deletion of your account and associated data.
• You may manage subscriptions through your Apple Account settings.
• Where required by applicable law, you may have additional rights to access, delete, or object to certain processing of your personal information.

9. International Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than the one in which you live, including the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Those jurisdictions may have data protection laws that differ from those in your home country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border data transfers.

10. Security Measures

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. These may include access controls, encryption in transit, service-provider access limitations, and monitoring for abuse or suspicious activity. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute protection against unauthorized access or disclosure.

11. Children's Privacy

AI Girlfriend is intended for adults 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will take appropriate steps to delete it as required by law.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice in the app or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the service after the effective date of an updated Privacy Policy means you accept the revised policy.
